Introduction and Integrity Statements Activity
Please take a moment to reflect on these open-ended statements and practice self-reflection. Please think in a leadership scope rather than individualized, “management” tasks, as this is intended to be a leadership inventory and guiding benchmark on where you are today in your leadership journey. For example, “I will host a concert on campus” is task-based, whereas “I will enrich our campus community” provides both a larger scope and a leadership focus.
There are no right or wrong answers to these questions. This is an introductory inventory and benchmark, and you aren’t expected to have any specific answers or approaches. Please work with Rich or Tyler if you are struggling to find the right words or to communicate what it is you wish to express with each of these statements. Take your time as you go through each statement and truly ask yourself who you are, what matters to you, and how you would express your leadership style. For each statement, we have provided brief guidance, but we are not giving explicit examples so that you have the creative space to go wherever you are led with your introspection. If you wish for some brief examples, please visit the video in the resources section.

Here are a few resources that may assist you as you go through this document. These are meant only as a few examples, and there are many other great sources for leadership, values, etc. that you may also wish to dive into. The following were used in developing this document and its guided descriptions:
7 Definitions of Leadership: Decoding Leadership
Examples of Values by Lisbeth Van Der Linden (this list is not exhaustive, but a helpful launching pad for brainstorming if needed)
